Location details: Situated in the heart of Kent countryside, The Hop Farm is located on the A228 by Paddock Wood, 10 minutes from M20 J4 and 20 minutes from M25 J5. Set amongst the world's largest collection of Victorian Oast houses, The Hop Farm depicts a traditional Kentish backdrop. This once working Hop Farm retains much of its original charm and character with the distinctive features of the Oast houses continually maintained. A section of the hop fields have been preserved for an annual hop picking festival, inviting visitors to experience hop picking and learn the history of hop picking in Kent. Shire horses continue to play an important role at The Hop Farm, educating visitors on the role they played in hop picking in the early part of the twentieth century. The Hop Farm Country Park is now one of Kent's most popular tourist attractions, attracting over 500,000 visitors annually. 250 acres of land allow for a diverse events programme including monster truck racing, wedding fairs, motor shows and War and Peace, the wolrd's largest military vehicle spectacular. | ||
