Experience/Special Interests:
In Cornwall Youth Theatre and Stage Company TRUCCO i played principal parts in most productions... from the highly emotional, Marjorie in Jim Cartwrights, Bed to even, The Scarecrow in, The Wizard of Oz.
I toured Commedia Del Arte influenced street theatre pieces in and around Europe as well as teaching acting and drama workshop skills to 7-14 year old students for 2 years at The Hall for Cornwall Theatre.
I received grade 8 in the Guildhall school of music and drama awards, fresh new female talent award at the South West acting awards, a National Diploma in performing arts (with an overall distinction) and have just completed a BA(hons) degree in Drama and Performance with a 2:1.
Panto took up a module of my degree, we put on Aladdin in, The Grand Theatre for 3 months. I played, The Genie.
I take pride in how versatile i am when it comes to my acting ability: I relish in playing phsycological parts to even highly comical parts.
I have the ability to just jump straight into a part and play it to its full potential, I look forward to direction and take it on board well.
For the past couple of years I have worked on developing a high paced and original stand-up comedy show, I have recently returned from performing the sell out show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with my comedy troupe.
Through now gigging virtually every night with individual stand-up I shall return to Edinburgh next year with a solo show.
Check out my website for more details ( www.harrietdyer.co.uk ) and for clips of my stand-up please do not hesitate to get in touch.
